Gaza: On The Ground

Continuous bombardment and a lack of access to food, medicine and shelter have led to a famine situation, putting the lives of thousands at risk. With each passing moment, the situation becomes more dire. Your swift support can save lives.

Since October 7, Gaza has faced relentless bombardment, resulting in immense loss and destruction:

  • Killed: At least 40,139 people, including nearly 16,500 children.
  • Injured: More than 94,743 people.
  • Missing: More than 10,000 individuals are currently unaccounted for.

In addition, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the occupied West Bank reports:

  • Killed: At least 635 people, including more than 147 children.
  • Injured: More than 5,400 people.

These figures reflect the staggering human cost of the conflict, with many more lives at risk due to ongoing violence and deteriorating living conditions.

The relentless hostilities have left Gaza’s infrastructure in ruins. Israeli airstrikes have caused widespread destruction, sparing nothing—not schools, mosques, or churches.

  • Residential Buildings: 439,000 residential buildings have been destroyed or damaged.
  • Educational Facilities: 378 educational facilities have been damaged, and all schools have been shut down.
  • Hospitals: Only 12 out of 36 hospitals remain standing, with several of these only partially functional.
  • Ambulances: 120 ambulances have been damaged, with only 6 currently operational across the entire Gaza Strip.
  • Places of Worship: 336 places of worship have been damaged, with 78 mosques completely destroyed and only 2 churches left standing.

leaving 59% of all structures either damaged or destroyed, with 70% of buildings in the north severely impacted.
