Since 2001, Muslim Welfare Canada has been combating homelessness in Toronto and Hamilton through its Meals on Wheels program. Despite being Canada’s economic hub, Toronto grapples with an estimated 5,000 homeless individuals daily.
Every Saturday, year-round, volunteers assemble over 500 lunch bags for the homeless, distributing them at various shelters in Toronto and Hamilton.

MWC has provided emergency shelter to 19,500+ women and their children since 1996.

Volunteers help deliver every meal throughout the entire year.
In Toronto, it’s estimated that over 5,000 people are homeless on any given day. Thats 5,000 potentially hungry individuals that we aim to serve.
